MIFID 2 is a European directive from 2018 that was implemented by national governments with the aim of regulating the financial market. The directive introduced many innovations, particularly with regard to the protection of depositors. Compared to previous regulations, for example, investment managers are required to regularly prepare documents and present them to investors, listing the costs and explaining the degree of product independence.
